Janet Napalitano Resign NOW!!!

This is a Gestapo like in our Homeland Security Office. She has all ready tried to bully the Conservatives in this Country by releasing the report that warned against "Right Wing Extremist". Then she gave a non-apology and insulted our men and women fighting and retired from the Armed Services!!! Wake Up -Silent Majority and let them know in Washington who runs this Country!!! Not the few in Washington that are soooo out of touch, but the real Americans that deal with the real issues---and nobody is listening!!

The Death of Common Sense

Common sense leaves this world

03.04.2009

A S EXPECTED a front-page letter and story last week about teenagers showing up in Napier for a rave brought immediate responses from our readers.
Most were from parents who couldn't believe others simply dropped their children, including young girls, in the CBD without checking any details.

One letter writer mentioned the existence of a "common sense" email.

M. Brown has kindly sent it into me and there are parts of it I would like to share with readers.

It is an obituary to common sense and many points ring true.

"My parents told me about Mr Common Sense early in my life and told me I would do well to call on him when making decisions.

"Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you earn) and reliable parenting strategies (adults, not children are in charge).
"Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job they themselves failed to do in disciplining their unruly children.

"Common Sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband; churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims.

"Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglars can sue you for assault."

Liquor store owner Virender Singh may like this paragraph updated to include "your own shop".

The Otara shopkeeper was cleared last week of using excessive force against two teens who were trying to rob his shop.

His crime - he defended himself and his livelihood.

He was stabbed following an altercation outside his store.

He wielded a hockey stick - his attackers a knife.

Unfortunately we read about robberies and attempted hold-ups of dairies and other small businesses on a weekly basis.

"Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust; his wife Discretion; his daughter Responsibility; and his son Reason.

"He is survived by three stepbrothers - I Know My Rights, Someone is to Blame, and I'm a Victim.

"Not many attended his funeral because so few realised he was gone

Washington Times -

It is very obvious by the following article in the Washington Times, the Liberals have more than a few screws loose. We really believe it is because,we, as Conservatives have sat back and let them run wild.Running wild in a ocean of ideas that have no focus, after a while, will make you a little dingy!!!
We have read the article at least 10 times and we can't get the mindset! Liberals say their open minded, but.....but what they spew is unadultrated hate. And last time I read about hate, it tends to be pretty narrow minded!!!
This is of all the Hollywood Elite. They rance around the country spewing their Liberal garbage, their socialism(Sean Penn). It is really irritating that we(Conservatives) put the money in their pockets (watching their movies)so they can come against us!! IT is CRAZY!!! We really need to get hyper-focused and give them a BIG message, the one they will listen to. Stop buying their movies, stop buying the products that support them. Meaning the sponsors for MSNBC,CNN,.Hit them where it hurts. The pocketbook!!
Why do they have so much hate for Patriots of this Country?

Liberal actress and political activist Janeane Garofalo, in all seriousness, said activists who attended tea parties are racists with dysfunctional brains in a recent prime-time television appearance.

"Let's be very honest about what this is about. This is not about bashing Democrats. It's not about taxes. They have no idea what the Boston Tea party was about. They don't know their history at all. It's about hating a black man in the White House," she said on MSNBC's "The Countdown" with Keith Olbermann Thursday evening. "This is racism straight up and is nothing but a bunch of teabagging rednecks. There is no way around that."

Olbermann did not once try to challenge her on those assertions.

The actress went on to describe the brain size of typical "right-winger, Republican or conservative or your average white power activist."

"Their synapses are misfiring. ... It is a neurological problem we are dealing with," she said. This isn't the first time she's offered this analysis, either. Ms. Garofalo said similar things about Alaskan GOP Governor Sarah Palin's brain last February in an interview with an environmental blog.

The actress went on to bash the GOP on MSNBC Thursday because it had "crystallized into the white power movement" as well as Fox News, which she said has captured the "Klan demo[graphic]."

"Who else is Fox talking to? Urban older white guys and their girlfriends who suffer from Stockholm Syndrome," she said.

Ironically, Ms. Garofalo is currently playing a role on the drama 24, which is aired by the Fox Broadcasting Company and is popular among conservative circles.

Writings of Thomas Jefferson

The next event which excited our sympathies for Massachusetts was the Boston port bill, by which that port was to be shut up on the 1st of June, 1774. This arrived while we were in session in the spring of that year. The lead in the house on these subjects being no longer left to the old members, Mr. Henry, R. H. Lee, Fr. L. Lee, 3 or 4 other members, whom I do not recollect, and myself, agreeing that we must boldly take an unequivocal stand in the line with Massachusetts, determined to meet and consult on the proper measures in the council chamber, for the benefit of the library in that room. We were under conviction of the necessity of arousing our people from the lethargy into which they had fallen as to passing events; and thought that the appointment of a day of general fasting & prayer would be most likely to call up & alarm their attention. No example of such a solemnity had existed since the days of our distresses in the war of '55, since which a new generation had grown up. With the help therefore of Rushworth, [a popular book, John Rushworth's Historical Collections] whom we rummaged over for the revolutionary precedents & forms of the Puritans of that day, preserved by him, we cooked up a resolution, somewhat modernizing their phrases, for appointing the 1st day of June, on which the Port bill was to commence, for a day of fasting, humiliation & prayer, to implore heaven to avert from us the evils of civil war, to inspire us with firmness in support of our rights, and to turn the hearts of the King & parliament to moderation & justice. To give greater emphasis to our proposition, we agreed to wait the next morning on Mr. Nicholas, whose grave & religious character was more in unison with the tone of our resolution and to solicit him to move it. We accordingly went to him in the morning. He moved it the same day; the 1st of June was proposed and it passed without opposition. The Governor dissolved us as usual-Thomas Jefferson 1774----The next event which excited our sympathies for Massachusetts was the Boston port bill, by which that port was to be shut up on the 1st of June, 1774.
